Hog Prices Fall Across Large Indianapolis Sale
Four thousand hogs were handled with prices down 25 cents from Friday. Hog prices opened two cents lower with general sales near 16.00 and top at 16.10, heavyweights at 15.50 and pigs at 14.00. Local buyers bought 4,500 head, outsiders 1,000. cattle activity was light, calves 50 cents lower, and sheep sales slow as the market weakened.

Clock 130 Years Old Still Keeps Good Time
William J Feld of Putnamville road owns what is likely the county’s oldest clock. A four foot tall Seth Thomas weight driven timepiece, it remains in perfect running order and keeps better time than many modern clocks. The heirloom, passed through the Binckley and Feld families, was bought years ago from Mr Binckley by Fred Reid who gave it to his son.
