Hay bruised neck. Thirteen loaves lost. car damaged. another vehicle used to finish the route. Damages in a separate Putnam Circuit case were heard today.
Mrs. Edna Evans announces the sale of the Evans Variety Store to Ralph Tresler of Bicknell Indiana. Tresler will take charge March 1 and already owns a chain of nine variety stores. John Evans will join the Voncastle Confectionery he recently bought. The Evans store has been run for two years and will be remodeled.
The city School Board meets Friday afternoon to confirm the recommendation of Superintendent Warren J. Yount for a history teacher to replace Cleon Davies who has resigned. The board will also review plans for the new Second Ward School with architects McGuire & Shook of Indianapolis.
An important meeting of all American Legion members and eligible men will be held this Thursday evening at 7 30 o clock at the hall over Moore and Cook's.
The bodies of deputies John P. Grove and Wallace McClure, missing after being abducted from Lafayette, were found on the Charles Abdill farm near Covington. Their deaths are under coroner review as investigators determine how they were killed. the deputies had been transporting two prisoners to Pendleton when seized.
A Get Together meeting of the High School Parent Teachers Association will be held in the vocational training rooms in the basement of the high school gymnasium on Monday evening February 20 at 6 30 o clock. Members are asked to bring food and table service for a cafeteria luncheon. The program aims to unite parents and teachers to address school problems.
James Fulkerson a 17 year old from Chicago is in the County Hospital with a shattered bone in his left arm after a late night collision on the National Road. His Pontiac roadster was sideswiped by another car that fled the scene. He was treated by Dr. C. C. Tucker and Dr. Collette and later moved to the hospital. The damaged Pontiac was towed to Franklin Street Garage.
