Two Deputies Gone Missing In Midwest Search

Grove and Wallace McClure and the two prisoners Sam Baxter and John Burns after a mysterious unsigned letter claimed the bodies would be found there. Across Chicago authorities found mutilated handcuffs suggesting the escape of the four from their guards possibly with a refuge in the city.

Whole sale murderer dies in electric chair at Huntsville
George J. Hassell, described as a wholesale murderer, was executed in the Texas state penitentiary. He received three electric shocks after a midnight sentence, dying at 12 37. Modern cattle rustler seen in steer theft near Roachdale
Five steers from Clark Sutherlin's pasture were driven sixteen miles to Crawfordsville then sold for 489 dollars. The rustler, identified as John M. Watson, cashed the check and kept part of the proceeds. The cattle are held at Crawfordsville shipping yards while ownership is disputed.
