Grin castyle basketball fans and DePauw students travel to Lafayette to watch DePauw clash with Purdue Boilermakers in a season defining SEC game. Many rooters expected to accompany the Tiger quintet on the trip.
DePauw University rooters join Green Castle supporters planning a noon train to Lafayette for the second season meeting with Purdue. Greencastle business men organize a group to travel and back the DePauw quintet, convinced they will win.
Dekauw students register for the second semester as exams end for the first. Lectures begin Tuesday at 8. Some new students join campus while a few who left earlier return mid year to graduate in June. Rector Scholarships awarded. tuition rises to 100 next fall per trustees action. Basketball looms with Purdue game Tuesday as state title hopes ride on the result.

Karl Durham aged 44 died Saturday afternoon after more than a year of pernicious anemia. Survived by wife Dora, son Ernest E Durham Jr, mother Mrs James E Durham, two brothers J E Durham of Rockville and Andrew E Durham, sister Mrs Margaret Bridges. Born 1876 in Russellville, he lived in Greencastle, attended Bloomington Academy and Purdue. Funeral Monday at home, burial Forest Hill cemetery.
Only eighty four applicants for teachers licenses took the regular January examination Saturday. Compared with January 1919 the number shows a large decrease from one hundred twenty last year.

Mrs Earl Smith died at her Mast Washington street home Sunday at 6 am after a short pneumonia illness. She was 41 years, 5 months, 1 day old. Survived by husband Earl Smith and three children Rex 14 Ray 12 Dorothy 6, plus her father and three half siblings. Active social worker in W R C Lee Hive Rebekah Lodge and president of the West section Ladies Aid Society Locust Street church. Funeral Tuesday 10:30 am Locust Street church to burial Forest Hill cemetery, Rev H C Clippinger in charge.

Jasper Wilson age 81 died at his home in Russell township after a long illness. He is survived by one sister Mrs Ruby Wilson Dragoon. Funeral was held Sunday and burial followed at Hebron cemetery in Russellville.
