Arrested Eighteen Times Wallace Jail in Raided Soft Drink Place
William Jitney Bill Wallace, jailed on a $5,000 bond after a raid by Federal officers on his soft drink shop. He has been arrested eighteen times since March 28, 1919, convicted three times but never served a sentence. Officers found white mule whisky. The raid followed Mike Lawrence's death found unconscious in an alley near the business. Helen Miller Roscoe Heck and Homer Raney were arrested but released on bond.
