A nine day trial in Clay County Court concluded in the suit valued at $100,200. Defendants Jackson Boyd Bascom O Hair and Cyrus O Hair faced the case as the dispute reached its close in Putnam County.
After nine days of trial in Clay county court at Brazil the case of Edward Dew and wife against Jackson Boyd and Bascom O HAir and Cyrus O Hair ends evidence. next Tuesday will hear arguments on the special findings of facts before judgment. The suit seeks to set aside deeds and an accounting plus damages. The suit stems from the sale of a farm north of Greencastle mortgaged to Boyd and later sold to the O Hair brothers.
A Greencastle letter reveals Captain Earl Lane in France ready to return when allowed but expects months before homecoming. A son writes of regret at not returning with classmates. Meanwhile Mrs. Harry Quigg on East Franklin Street is gravely ill with tuberculosis and may die soon.

The body of Mrs C C Gillen was taken to Roachdale cemetery for interment after services at College Avenue Church. Rev Blaine Kirkpatrick officiated the 2 o'clock service this afternoon with a quartet singing. Pallbearers listed were John H James Charles McGaughey William Sutherlin Matt Murphy F M Lyon and Judge James P Hughes.
