The City of Green River Emery County Utah sets a December 29 1955 special bond election for waterworks and sewer system improvements. Ballot wording outlines Yes No choices with bonds totaling 90000 for waterworks and sewer bonds 10000. Polls open 7 am to 6 pm at City Hall Voting District No 14. Merchants Turkey Shoot Draws Prizes and Club Growth

The Merchants Turkey Shoot drew thirty four prizes of five dollars each and highlighted top winners Leroy Dennison Roy May Robbie Tidwell Roger Fluckey Gladys May Jimmy Sangar Dean King Lee Hoggatt and Pat Gahagen. A new gun club organized with forty three members elected Pat Gahagen president and Roger Fluckey Lee Hoggatt as field men with Don Smith as secretary and treasurer.

Mrs. Jeanine D. Henderson died Saturday night in Logan Utah around 12:30. Born September 1, 1857 in Clinton Louisiana she married William Matlock in 1879 and had four daughters. Survived by two daughters Dallas Mitchell Vacaville CA and Edwin Dufford Pocatello ID ten grandchildren twelve great grandchildren. Burial in Pocatello on December 5 with Rev A E Asboe officiating.

Clarence Kaiser of southern Indiana reports from the 1955 Plant Food Review that he sustains pasture growth by seeding sudan grass and grain sorghums in permanent sod between June 10 and July 1. He grazes short before seeding and applies extra fertilizer to ensure vigorous regrowth.

Green River Pirates Defeat Dugway 49 to 43

Green River trounced Dugway in a close 49 to 43 victory at the new gym. Dean King led scoring with 21 points as Dugway, smaller but strong on the boards, kept it tight early before Green River pulled away. In a prelim, the Feeble Five beat the GRHS B team.
