Fined 15.00 On refuse charge in Green Lake court

Name Change for Dartford Village to Green Lake
Appleton youth asked how Green Lake got its name. Hazel Williams of the Dartford Historical Society cites Dart family settlement, Dartford Mill, and suggests Dart’s Ford as origin. An 1901 ordinance changed the village name from Dartford to Green Lake to aid mail service.
