Wind Storm Demolishes City Water Works Buildings
A wind storm last Saturday toppled a brick valve chamber building 16 by 12 feet at the distributing reservoir on the hill southwest of town and, nearly simultaneously, blew down the valve house at the upper end of the pipeline near the filtration basins. The roof floated in the water all Sunday. No other nearby structures were damaged. the two houses are about thirty eight miles apart.

Simonson Preliminary Hearing Dismissed in Kersey Shooting Case
Charles Simonson faced a preliminary hearing for the shooting of Editor C. R. Lewis of the Kersey Enterprise. Cabbage crop in Greeley area to match last year in yield
Estimates from JL Rothschild dealer and F H Young and other cabbage growers say the current season will be about the same as last year in quantity and quality. About 400 acres are under cultivation in the Gree ley Eaton and Ault district, with 150 acres near Greeley. The crop should yield nearly 400 carloads, with shipments already beginning. Prices have held around 75 cents per hundred, bringing an income near $280 per acre, mostly sent to Texas. Plant lice fears proved largely unfounded.

Heavy Damage Suit In Weld County Over Burned Infant
