A 14 year old, Cecil Arwell of Lafayette, was mortally wounded when his seven year old brother fired a rifle during a hunting accident on the Steele place near Platteville. Coroner's inquiry deemed the death accidental and the Maxwell family farm is in Lafayette.

He was born in the county and spent his life there before illness sent him to Berkeley Idaho and then a Salt Lake City hospital. Survived by brother Guy and parents Mr and Mrs Sol Hopkina.
