Colorado Woman's Christian Temperance Union Convention
The twenty eighth annual Colorado W C T U convention at the First M E church in Seeley drew about 200 delegates from nineteen districts. Officers were re elected except for vice president with Adrianna Hungerford of Denver as president and Magie Devenport of Greeley as vice president. Delegates elected to the national convention in Nashville with Myra King, A K Clark, RK Byles, Martha Hawks and A S Blake as delegates and Mary Bliss Jenne Sanborn as alternates. The Greeley Y won the membership banner and the event closed with a community sing.

Sugar factory expansion eyed for Berthoud Colorado
A Denver paper reports the Great Western Company and the sugar trust plan to invest 3 to 5 million dollars in northern Colorado. Mexican suspects jailed in county thefts investigated
City Marshal Williams reports three Mexican men Andreas Ortiz Jose Duran and Jose Cervantes are tied to thefts from Meyers and Dunham stores. Ortiz is accused of stealing and selling a coat, Duran allegedly took three or more watches, while Cervantes is linked to the coat case. Police recovered additional clothing and found the group at a house six miles northeast of the city after a watch sale attempt to Roland Waring.

Ed Nagle Confesses to Hold Up and Shooting
Ed Nagle and fellow suspect Kepnic had been jailed on vagrancy charges when Nagle confessed last Friday afternoon to the hold up of Rev. O W Gustafson and the shooting. He described the event in detail and claimed the other man did the shooting while Nagle ordered the minister to stop. Officers say enough evidence exists to convict regardless of the second suspect’s confession. Night Watchman Will Ahrend detained the pair after spotting them near a freight line following the Sunday shooting.

Miss Fannie Mayne spent Sunday in Denver as a guest of Miss Alice Watson, a Columbia wreck survivor who escaped with 97 lives lost in the Pacific. Watson, a Denver teacher, was in the water five hours before rescue. her companion Miss Mary Parsons drowned.
