Company D Receives Pay in Cripple Creek District
Last Friday Company D members were paid thirty days of service in the Cripple Creek district. Paymaster Colonel Frederick W. Gros and assistant paymaster Colonel Kimball arrived by U P train from Fort Morgan and distributed 82,390 among the local men. Pay for ten days remains due. The officers then proceeded to Brighton to pay off additional Company D soldiers.
