The Greeley plant feeds 416 cattle with beet pulp daily alongside 20 000 sheep and lambs. Frank Hatch has 166 head, W A Insinger 100, and George Bedford 150. Each head receives about 140 pounds of pulp and ten pounds of hay daily. Hatch plans about 100 more days of feeding if pulp lasts. He says beet pulp outperforms other feeds seen in Iowa.
Gun men of the city polish weapons for a Thanksgiving shoot next Thursday afternoon at the gun club grounds. Spectators are invited to fill the grand stand and ladies are welcome. The Julesburg irrigation district asks the state land board for a 46000 loan from the state school fund to improve irrigation works.
