Tallest man buried in Weld county laid to rest

Silas Robinson, a 6 foot 7.5 inch tall man, died in Weld county hospital last Friday and was buried Saturday. Services were in Macy's chapel with Rev Parry-Thomas officiating. He came from Windsor severely ill with tuberculosis and could not care for himself. a custom coffin had to be built for him.

Shot Through Window Near Greeley House

A 44 by 32 inch window at the home of Mr and Mrs B R Williams three miles north of Greeley was shot out last Saturday by boys rabbit hunting nearby. The 22 bullet hit the wall and ricocheted harmlessly after entering an unoccupied room, prompting a warning to shooters to be more careful with long range arms.

First Birthday Party for Eunice Ewing

Last week Eunice Ewing daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Ewing celebrated her first birthday by inviting fifteen babies and their mothers to Friday afternoon festivities. Guests viewed the single candle on the cake while crackers and milk were served. Mothers enjoyed more substantial refreshments.
