Lyte Gregory brother of Paul A. Gregory of LaSalle was killed in Denver Saturday night about 11 30. Three buckshot fired into his body. The detective had been detailed to Idaho Springs last year amid a mining dispute. Paul Gregory, brother of the victim, now heads the murder hunt. Charlotte Day left for the east Tuesday morning to stay with relatives until fall.

He is the stepson of J C Johnson jailed in Denver for chicken stealing and had returned to Greeley just before his arrest after leaving town three months earlier.
