Local notes cover land transfers, taxes, and fires. Greeley residents report on road work, cattle cases, Bible distribution, and Decoration Day plans led by the Poudre Valley Post with parade and speeches.
A May 5 school district meeting at the Spencer Green and De Volle La Grange district adjourned to May 10. A later session saw political fight with bombs and a six mill tax vote to enlarge the schoolhouse carried by six votes. Voters urged attendance at the May 17 meeting. Also note the death of Vernette Charles at Fort Collins Colorado with funeral Thursday.
