The Greeley Steamer Company held its annual meeting at the engine house last evening with Foreman D F Camp presiding. Retiring members will receive certificates and honorary status exempt from fines or dues. Mr. R. P. Tibbits of Portland Maine visits Greeley Colorado seeking a woolen mill location. He plans two carding operations employing about forty to fifty workers and believes Colorado wool can be produced cheaper locally. Tibbits favors water power from the mill canal and will return Thursday for further talks.
Mr I E Branson died of consumption last Sabbath after seeking relief in a milder climate. He was about twenty four, from two years in this city, with E L Dunham in jewelry. Brief services were held and the body sent to Ohio. No close relatives besides a half brother. Montrose chosen for Baptist college site with an $8000 option and campus plans. Bent county water rental set at 1.50 per inch, farmers call it high. I sold my office to Dr D Murray of Grand Rapids Michigan and commend Dr Murray to patrons.
