Western town residents see new residences near completion and a revived Denver morning train. A Unitarian church incorporation meeting is slated, while Judge Elliott presides over the spring district court opening with many civil cases. Uinted Presbyterians suffer vandalism as improvements and new ditches progress.
Mrs Rhodes formerly of Indiana died last Friday at Dr Stradley's house after a prolonged battle with consumption. Her husband sent the remains east. News from Pease Coe Edgar indicates a partner withdrawal and debt shift. John Wheeler, the new postmaster, is described as progressive and community minded.
Windsor reports from H B Gilbert and Hains hunting ducks and geese. Mr Gilbert says Windsor gives him relief from catarrh while visiting. Hall went to Greeley, Horne returned with him and advised band practices. Local stock idea aims to start a Windsor creamery as business men organize.
The La Grange district Sunday School, only three weeks old, previews a program for next Sunday featuring singing by the school and later by a quartet including Miss La Grange and Mrs. E Witter. Will D Sawyer conducts the Bible reading and a class reads Word Picture with Miss Kelley.
Bert C Shattuck was found dead near his Eaton area home on March 19 while plowing. Born July 3, 1859 in Plymouth Michigan, he lived there before moving to Eaton then Colorado, married Hattie Marshall in 1885, and returned to Plymouth later. He served as Sunday school superintendent and was praised for Christian character and community leadership. His death is mourned by family and town.
Captain Clinton M. Tyler died at his Boulder home after a brief illness of peritonitis. He early settled in Colorado in 1860, led local industry ventures, and raised a 100 day company during the 1864 Indian troubles. His funeral in Boulder was attended by Governor Eaton and state officers. He helped found farms, cattle and sheep operations, and lived at Boulder since 1874.
