Storm wrecks rail yards in St Louis with heavy losses

A violent storm in St Louis struck from the southeast and swung southwest. It demolished multiple railroad depots and car houses, toppled derricks, blew trains into rivers and sloughs, and set fire to the Chicago and Alton round house.
