Drowned in Eaton Ditch Near Fort Collins
Mrs A L Clark and her daughter Florence drowned when their team slipped into a flooded ditch northeast of Fort Collins. The accident occurred as water backed into the county road and the bodies were recovered after draining the ditch. No inquest will be held. The Clarks are well to do farmers living five miles northeast of Fort Collins.

Dangerous ford near Oak street bridge after flood
The river now floods the ford below the Oak street bridge to about ten feet deep, far higher than before. A horse and rider nearly drowned when Win Senior attempted to cross at dusk, rescued by a bystander with a lasso. A family of campers also helped pull the rider and horse to safety, prompting calls for warning signs at the popular drinking spot.

W. R. Thomas of the State Agricultural College faculty spent a few hours in Greeley yesterday before continuing by the afternoon train to Fort Collins. A former Denver News writer, he helped develop the Union colony and Greeley, and two years ago joined the Agricultural College. Ghastly Find Near Main Street on the Poudre River
Brown discovered a skeleton of a male infant on the Poudre riverbank at the foot of Main street yesterday morning. Coroner Macy is investigating and estimates the infant died around six weeks old, possibly a sad memento of the April flood in the Poudre valley.
