Over 100 prominent citizens including the governor and legislators attended a banquet and tour. A New York stenographer declined a $1000 prize to marry at the site after her fiancé balked at joining.
July 26 W F Mc Daniels and Alden Bros load a car of 75 Duroc hogs for the Denver market. They weigh up to 400 pounds and are under two years old. Expected price about 6.35 per hundredweight. A 700 head herd remains on hand with another shipment due in two weeks. The cornfed hogs were fed at 1.45 per hundredweight, cutting margins.
Last night the aldermen reviewed many matters including funding a 25 foot fire tower to raise the curfew bell, starting regular fire drills, and enforcing ordinances. The mayor may obtain a motorcycle for city use and sidewalk work on Twelfth avenue and Seventh street continues in September.
Mrs M Hammond of Denver arrived in Greeley this morning and spent the day with friends in the city before departing this afternoon for Cornish.

Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Sedley arrived from Denver for a short stay en route to Iowa. They recently completed a three month journey to Oregon, lured by the fame of the agricultural district near Greeley and paused here briefly.
Fort Morgan celebrated its 25th anniversary with a basket picnic at City park followed by speeches by prominent residents. Lute Johnson spoke and C. P. Allen, chairman of the state highway commission, helped turn the evening into a good roads rally as automobile parties from Omaha and Nebraska en route to Denver discussed road improvements.

Ten irrigation companies along the South Platte below Denver seek a temporary injunction in Denver District Court to bar upstream users from diverting water claimed by priority. Plaintiffs say state engineers ordered and protected by officers are being undermined, risking irreparable crop damage. Defendants include Joseph and George Rogers and other water officials and firms.
