The Round-Up advertisement proclaims 25 and 50 cent sale days at the Greeley Cash Store. Bargains begin in all departments and will be displayed on three center tables in Dry Goods and one table in Clothing with a partial list of items available.

Two Day Bargain Event Reduces Prices to 25 Cents

Readable list shows a mid 20th century sale with numerous fabrics garments and household goods cut to 25 cents for a two day period on July 25 and 26. Items include cloths ribbons hats skirts shoes table linen towels laces and more from vendors Broadhead Goods and others.

George H West Hose Company name proposed

In Greeley Colorado on July 19 1888 Hose Co No 1 members proposed naming the new organization after George H West in gratitude for his past aid to the fire department. The group requested permission to use his name and signed the petition with foreman Joan Perrikin secretary and others.

Death of George Lambert Found at Porter Home

George Lambert about thirty is found dead at W L Porter residence in this city on July 20. Porter family are east. Lambert cared for the place during their absence. Suspected suffocation from throat and nasal disease. coroner finds no foul play and attributes death to natural causes. A Denver physician letter notes a severe attack the previous night. Last seen at one o'clock in the yard feeding chickens. body warm when found.
