Wife of LaSalle banker fatally injured in runaway

Lateral Water Project Aims to Serve 3000 Acres Near Nunn
Construction on the Nunn lateral began Monday to deliver irrigation water to about 3,000 acres of fertile fields. The five mile canal includes a pumping plant near Section 34 east of Nunn, raising water about 45 feet from the main ditch. Final ditch survey expected soon as work draws intense local interest.
