The council met past midnight after routine business. The Marshal logged twenty five arrests and 110 dollars in fines. Blanche Nejmeyer daughter of Mr and Mrs Fritz Nejmeyer and John R Wortham of San Antonio Texas wed at 7 am in Denver at the clergyman Beardsley’s home. They plan a month’s trip to San Antonio and will settle in Denver where Wortham will work as a civil engineer.
A newborn baby girl was discovered this morning in a closet at the home of Rev and Mrs. R. J. Van Valkenburg at 813 Fourth Street. The infant, not dressed, was found by Mrs. Moore who lives with the family. The body was turned over to the coroner and no parentage information has been identified.
The library received its new furniture today as committees praise the selection. Carpenters assemble cases, racks stand, and books are arranged in the oak antique finish rooms ahead of a public opening planned for Saturday. Miss Bessie Ling returns from Eaton-related visit.
Sherman Hall of Mt. Vernon stopped in Greeley today en route home from California. He visited J. W. Pemberton and family and J. B. Johnson and sought a westward location.
Fire at 12:18 this morning in the Baldwin theatre basement from escaping gas damaged the Colonial hotel for about 100000 dollars and caused total damage near 250000 dollars.
