In a graceful Tuesday ceremony, Miss Helen Phillips became Mrs. Dorothy Phillips after engagement celebrations hosted by Mrs. Isabella Churchill Iehter and Mrs. A J Case. Attendants wore satin gowns as white festoon streamers framed a refined evening of music and gifts.

Swans Feb 7 The W R C of Evans with seven women, among state’s most faithful groups, installed its officers for the year yesterday with Mrs Richard hosting. Officers: Amelia Beeson president, Artie Reed senior vice, Nellie Flint junior vice, Nannie Jack conductor, Sarah Hatgeht guard, Elizabeth Rickard chaplain, L A Herriott secretary, L C Young treasurer. The Evans G A R chapter has 16 members.
K. L. Martin of the Denver, Lara mie & Northwestern presented a petition to the county commissioners on Monday requesting a new road between Evans and Blandin. A beet dump at Blandin underscores the need for a three mile link. Farmers offered to raise 6500 dollars with the county to provide 3500 dollars for construction.
Julius Grodesen a Dane living in Greeley works as a shoemaker for his living. In summer he fishes and enjoys nature. in winter he paints oil pictures inspired by summer scenes. At 68 he has painted many works in the last year some of which are exhibited at Hallett's shoe shop where he is employed part time.
Evans Feb 7 A naval ship carpenter with the United States Navy will be reunited with his wife and two children in San Diego after over fifteen years apart. The family plans to live near the sailor, who has spent long periods away with the fleet. The eldest daughter is about twenty and the youngest is sixteen. In Hillsdale New Jersey Pastor William Burd of the Methodist church introduces a Boys Whistling club. Twelve front-seat boys rise as the organ plays Onward Christian Soldiers. They yell a scriptural call referencing Second Timothy and First Thessalonians and sing Stand Up for Jesus and Wonderful Words of Life.
District Judge George W. Allen mandates State Secretary James B. Pearce to file the 1912 Central Realty report and pay the associated fees, ruling against Pearce for withholding despite prior back-report delinquencies. Mary A. Wheeler mother of Charles H. Wheeler died Wednesday at her daughter Mrs G H West home in Colorado Springs. She was 92, long time Greeley resident, in poor health recent years, lived with her son in Greeley for years, moved to Colorado Springs last May. Survived by three sons Charles H. Wheeler George B. Wheeler Horace E Wheeler and daughter Mrs George. Services in Colorado Springs with interment at Linn Grove cemetery in Greeley. public invited.

Postmaster D E Gray was surprised Tuesday evening when the entire office staff gathered at his home for a birthday dinner hosted by his wife Mrs Gray and sister Mrs May Fitzpatrick. Twenty five attendees shared a seven course meal with hand painted place cards and red carnation decorations. George Funck, whose birthday matches Gray’s, was a guest of honor.
In Greeley four coy leap year girls have admitted they will marry four members of the Greeley Bachelors club as husbands. The club of 22 members reports four proposals and a waiting list, though the proposers’ identities remain a mystery amid much excitement.
Evans Feb 7 Two Spencer boys aged 10 and 12 were nearly hurt when their driving horse bolted. Turning the horse toward Evans rather than homeward saved them after a mile or two chase. They hung to their seats and escaped unharmed.
Windsor February 7 stockholders elected a five member board K P Hickman H O Adcock F R Harrington S L Getchell and W F Fowers to organize and incorporate the Windsor creamery. A bylaws committee of R Hanna B K Keehler and G A Kelso will report by week end. The plant, built by Hastings Industrial, will cost more than $5000. Share value discussed at 100, possibly reduced to 10 or 5 to recruit farmer stockholders. manager position remains open.
The Ault Pioneer club met with Mrs. E. J. Garner yesterday in Ault. Fifteen members attended and the afternoon was spent playing flinch. Refreshments were served. The next meeting will be at Mrs. Fred Grafes home with the program planned by the hostess.
