Ralph Meeker is in Paris. The Omega club plan a dance and banquet at the Oasis. Bruce Williams moves to W. 8 Fullerton's farm. Christmas events unfold including a Congregational church social and an Old Folk's concert with tickets at Sawyer's bookstore.
Mrs. G. S. Adams leads as host with the Misses Mc Quisten Marsh Durkee Norcross to receive alongside the Misses Gale. Another group includes Mrs J. L. Tuckerman Mrs Nims Mrs H H Currier Mrs E C Palmer and Misses Eaton Harvey Palmer with Mrs Geo W Currier. A third gathering features Mrs A B Copeland Mrs Archibald Mrs W R McClellan and Mrs A E Gipson receiving with Mrs Robert Hale.
Mrs Rebecca Crossfield died Sunday morning at her daughter's home in Greeley after weeks of illness. Age 78. Funeral held at the house Monday with Rev Savage officiating. She came from Keene New Hampshire six years ago and suffered a pneumonia attack in Denver last winter. She leaves four daughters Mrs W W Field Mrs 8 W Bullard of Greeley Mrs Clark of Denver and Mrs Whitaker of Leavenworth and a son Dr Fred 8 Crossfield of Hartford Connecticut. Remains to Denver then Keene where interment will occur with Mrs Clark accompanying.
Father Purdy aged eighty died last Wednesday at the home of C. P. Mapes. Four other deaths this year, all aged. Egbert Johnson lost a valuable horse that dropped dead in the harness. he refused four hundred dollars for it. Mrs. Raney similarly lost a horse. Isaac Ballinger opened a new livery and feed stable in David Snider’s barn. John Hughes, an old Fifty-niner, started a general merchandise store in the Berkley block. A Christmas Eve M E church gathering distributed gifts to children with singing recitations and Santa Claus arrival.
The marriage of Flora May Abbott of Greeley to Fred B. Henderson of Denver took place December 20 at the bride’s parents home with Rev. E Parsons officiating.
