The Denver, Marmie & Northwestern road formally inaugurated motor car service between Greeley and Denver. The first steel car, tested Sunday, replaces No. 1 with 8:30 am from Denver and 3:00 pm from Greeley, and a three-car daily schedule is planned after the new year. The car features a steel exterior, insulated interior, and a refridgerator-like climate, with reinforced frame designed to prevent telescoping and enhance passenger safety.
The present state administration will close with a surplus of at least 60000 after paying all legislature appropriations. W H Malone, secretary to Governor Shafroth, said revenues exceeded expectations and every appropriation, including the fifth class, will be paid as predicted.
