The Greeley Gash Store offers holiday tables with new goods for Christmas gifts. Toys glassware dolls albums scrapbooks and books including Waverly and Dickens at reduced prices. Notable items include Found Yet Lost by E P Roe Miss Lou and various china tea sets and toilet sets.
The notice lists prices for rugs and fabrics including Smyrna rugs 75 cents to 1 75, tapestry or velvet hassock, ingrain carpet 25 cents to 85 cents per yard, Brussels 65 cents to 1, white bed spread 65 cents to 5, lace curtains 75 cents to 5, Turcoman or chenille curtains 4 to 14, and mentions a carpet sweeper as a nice present.

The A O U W announces a social evening with music and literary exercises at Masonic Hall next Wednesday. Refreshments will be served after the program. Admission is 25 cents. The Longmont Ledger reports a 20 foot coal seam found three and a half miles north of Ni Wot on the Larson place. The vein lies about 100 feet away and the owner plans a tunnel to reach it, a discovery that could bring a regional boom to Ni Wot.

A Keeley meeting on Tuesday December el I authorized a three member committee Robert Steele J E Davis and J E Billings to determine if the recent $65 000 water works bond election was legal and if the city council can be restrained from bonding. A petition to delay bond issuance until legality is settled was authorized with R G Booker to collect signatures. Meeting adjourned to Saturday at 7 p m with H F Currir secretary.
At a December 6 1888 meeting U S Gran Post No 15 G A R unanimously adopted resolutions mourning Comrade W F Littlefield. They express sympathy to his wife for her devotion during his illness and death and hope the post members meet death with calm resignation. Signed by A W Jones H C Watson Com J E Wirwrams.
