Preparations for a large coyote round-up are under way for next Wednesday December 16 in Weld County. More than a hundred people have signed up to join, with dogs from Greeley and Eaton and out of state stag hounds. Calvin Phillips Sentenced Ten to Fifteen Years for Murder
In circuit court Calvin Phillips was found guilty of second degree murder in the death of his father in law George Bainbridge. Judge Garrigues denied a new trial and imposed a term of not less than ten nor more than fifteen years with potential release after seven years and a calendar for good behavior. Attorney DeWeese sought time to file a bill of exceptions for a possible supreme court appeal.
