County Clerk W. H. Nice plans a trip to Ohio starting tomorrow. The item notes other local movements and events in Greeley and Weld County, including church visits, weather impacts on harvest, and community notices.

The rain has halted harvesting and farmers fear lower wheat yields as they wait for better prices. Andrew Lumry, an early settler, died Thursday at about sixty three, having arrived in Colorado in 1861 and moved to Platteville the next year where he passed away from heart disease.
Bert Jeffries and Eugene V Bell captured a third herd of wild horses this year in Weld County last Monday. They drove off several branded mares including 22, 5 black, 5 bay, Mill Iron blue roan, TA bay, NH six head, and the stock included yearling colts. The usual $10 reward for locating branded stock with wild horses applies. The recent batch is said to be of better quality than previous catches.
