The Saturday Afternoon Club held its final meeting of the season at Mrs. Will Edwards home. Papers on New York skyscrapers and subways and Panama Canal were read. refreshments followed. The group plans a May banquet and May 20 gathering at Mrs. Blunt's. Members welcomed Mrs. Steele and donated to the Crittenden home. The Graphic Club met at Mrs. Couzens home to discuss minor poets of the early nineteenth century and poetry readings.

Walter H Dean and Miss Mattie A Miller wed at 2 30 on April 18 in the bride's mother's home at 1519 Eighth Avenue Rev R J Hunter officiated before about thirty guests. Lois Swanson was bridesmaid and Lloyd McCarter served as best man. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs E J Miller. The color scheme was green and white. The groom, raised in Greeley, is well regarded here. Guests sent the couple away with rice and old shoes after refreshments and congratulations.
