George T. Dresser died Monday evening at his daughter's home in Greeley after a severe stroke of paralysis. Born in Ancaster Canada sixty six years ago he came to Beloit Wisconsin in 1850 and to Greeley in 1870. He owned farms near Orchard and north of town. His sons Harry and Frank were killed by Indians in the White River massacre in September 1879. Funeral at 2 PM today from the house with Rev. Cooke conducting.
Sidney Mead nephew of Alex Mead and cousin of A bk Mead died at the former’s residence Sunday morning after a brief illness of about three days. He had been out shooting with Alex Mead Wednesday, grew cold, and deteriorated into a stupor. His body lies in ice awaiting Dr. A E Mead’s arrival. post mortem planned. Funeral set for Thursday at ten at Alex Mead’s residence. Sidney, about 32, had lived in Greeley mostly in the last two years after stints in New York Montana and the Dakotas. He was well liked though little known due to his frequent absences.
