The Lyons sand well in the Gillette field south of Grover, Weld County, finished Sunday noon after hitting 2010 feet of oil and 11423 feet of salt water. A fresh water cushion of 1200 feet was recovered. The Miles and Don Gillette No 14 well lopped the Lyons sand at Aafeel with a zone test of 8490-8197. Well location NENW 90-6. Bottom of the hole Sunday was A497. Drillers awaited further details.

Four Injured In Luecerne Auto Collision With U P Streamliner
Four persons were injured as three autos and a Union Pacific streamliner the City of St Louis collided near Luverne five miles north of Greeley at 4 30 pm Sunday. Drivers James Edwards 41 Chev pickup and two Bowness passengers Clayton Bowness 32 Dorothy Bowness 38 sustained injuries. Diaz 54 from Windsor fled the scene after a stop sign crash. Train 10 did not derail and proceeded to Denver. All victims were taken to Weld County General Hospital.
