False Report Blamed for 7 Hour Delay in Wreck
Colorado Springs officials blamed a witness report for a seven hour delay in locating a crashed C47 near Mt Yale. The twin engined plane carrying CONAD personnel went missing after 9:30 am and was identified at 5:08 pm by civilian searchers at 11,500 feet. 12 aboard were killed.
