Make It with Wool Contest Increases Participants

In Durango a growing national do it yourself trend boosts girls ages 14 to 22 to sew their own garments. District eliminations lead to a state contest on January 7 at Mesa College Grand Junction with prizes from Frederick's Fabrics and local merchants. Winners travel to Dallas Fort Worth for the national fashionware with expenses paid by F W Woolworth.

Circle 3 officers named for next year at First Presbyterian

The 1958 Circle 3 organizational meeting at the home of Mrs. W. Giles 1324 Thirteenth Avenue elected Mrs. Ray Biddle chairman and other officers including Mrs. Frank Wiles vice chairman Mrs. Homer Cushman secretary Mrs. W. Giles treasurer and several committee members. The Young Couples group at St Pauls Congregational Church met with Switzerband entertainment by Hoff 1854 representative from Weld County to the International Youth Exchange. refreshments were served by Mr and Mrs Bloor Ulrich and Mr and Mrs Louis Kida. Neal meeting scheduled October 2 at the clubhouse hosted by Mr and Mrs Melvin Miller and Ale and Mrs Bob Villodge.

Mrs. Gladys Adams and Mrs. Mae Bol ec introduced Mrs. Jay who read poems, and Phyllis arcolf played accordion. Mrs. Zola-Tlimb received the Thyrander box. Next meeting October 18 at 2, at Miss Matin Henry's home with Mrs. Ann Kappius assisting. We attend VFW District No. 3 meeting in Greeley with 16 members present.

Arden Broken Weds Miss Sandy Maylott

Miss Sandy Maytott and Arden Brollen of Hatan were married in the Cathedral of Tomorrow in Oaklind California on Wednesday Sept 3 at 7 pm. The ceremony featured Rev. Jacob Bellig, organist David Von Rote, and a three manual Aforton organ. The couple, both Eaton high school graduates class of 1954, plan to reside at 326 Pierce Apt 4 San Francisco. The bride’s parents, Mrs. J Pat Maylott of Eaton and Mr. Arthur Brollen of North West Eaton, attended. reception followed at Bellvue hotel in San Francisco with flowers from Salk. The groom served in the navy and is aboard the carrier Bob Homme Richard in San Francisco Bay. The bride was honored at multiple parties before leaving for California.
