Elmer Wolfe, two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Wolfe, had his right thumb crushed when caught between two rails at a Union Pacific and Great Western switch in Baton. An approaching train halted ten feet away, the signal tower operator freed the thumb, but part of the finger had to be amputated.
