Wealthy John R. Cobb of London shattered the world speed record at Booneville Salt Plains. London Sept 15 The British government recalls Parliament to hear Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain’s personal report of his talks with Adolf Hitler. Parliament had recessed July 29 to Nov 1 but resumed subject to immediate recall as Chamberlain returns from Berchtesgaden and leaders decide the exact reassembly date.
The Rt Rev Irving P. Tomson, bishop of the Colorado Episcopal diocese for 20 years, bade farewell to Trinity parish in Greeley at a Wednesday noon dinner at First Presbyterian.
