Mary Georgii of Pierce and her husband foster a murder inquiry as the infant child of Georgii dies after forty hours in a peach box coffin. The district attorney seeks Ar Gur Pulliam as potential father. coroner’s jury to rule on charges.
Mary Georgii gave birth to a daughter in Pierce. The infant died after burial in a yard two feet deep and was exhumed by Dr. McCain and Coroner Macy. The mother and Charles Georgii were jailed amid suspicions of illegal burial and delayed reporting.
Manager Hartman said the Greeley Street Car company shows signs of profitability after three months of operation. They earned money in June and August, with a small loss in July, amid safety warnings and a near miss when five local women blocked a car on a hill near the Normal. The Normal students’ arrival has boosted business.

Relatives learned by telegram that James Wasley died at work in a mine at Tonopah Nevada. An English immigrant, he had lived in the region for over thirty years and worked in mining in Cripple Creek Georgetown and Arizona. He leaves a wife and two children.
An afternoon party hosted by Mesdames Morrison Wood Harrison Adams and Hatch drew thirty guests with a themed trip around the world. In LaSalle on September 15 Elmer Welsh, son of Charles Welsh, was badly burned when a gasoline stove exploded at Stewart's meat market. He was lighting the stove at dusk, was hurled across the room, and sustained burns to the face head and left hand. He received aid and was taken home. doctors do not fear serious injury.
