Melvin Wardman 14 injured when struck by auto on a highway Friday afternoon. He had been riding a homemade minibike and was kneeling near a washing machine motor used for power. The operator, DePorter of Carr, blinded by sun, failed to see the boy and struck the vehicle and boy, ejecting him about 10 feet.
The man from 129 Fifth Street suffered nine talitine soll at the Elle Cigar Stern and Wisrd Moelee Saturday morning. He was taken to Greeley Hospital for emergency treatment and later discharged to his home.
