Eight people died during the Labor Day weekend from Friday 6 pm to Monday midnight, bringing the year’s toll to 449. Authorities say autopsies are pending. Victims include Lawrence Harrington, 49, of Fountain, who died after a Friday night crash on Hanover Road near Fountain. his car collided with Alvis Crain, 46, of Fountain, who was not seriously injured.
