Russian man recovering after suicide attempt in county jail
John Somblaske, a Russian inmate, cut his wrist with glass at the county jail. He later walked and improved after county physician Dr. Shields injected a solution into arteries. He claimed tired of living and will be watched closely. Somblaske, with John Joskowit, is accused of stealing harnesses and hiding them in a farm basement near Gilcrest. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled once he recovers.

Camfield Court Building Nears Completion in Greeley

Inez Emerson was badly burned about the face and shoulders when a kitchen stove exploded while she tried to start it. Colorado approves honest initiative and referendum bill in senate
In Denver the Colorado senate passed a constitutional amendment for government by the people. Nineteen Democrats backed the measure and eleven Republicans including Meyer and Carpenter supported it. Fry voted no and Gove opposed. The tally stood 30 to 2 as the extra session adjourned. Carpenter arrived late and said he would explain his negative vote.
