Kempy to be Presented by Johnstown Group

Johnstown faculty will stage Kempy a comedy in three acts on Friday November 1 at the high school auditorium. The plot follows plumber Kempy who marries Kate Bence, causing friction with her family in a small New Jersey town near New York City.

Johnstown Club Names Cast for Drama Contest

Johnstown Oct 30 cast chosen for county drama contest by Seven teachers and the high school dramatic club. Indian Summer selected by Miss Thelma Strickland, director, a one act French comedy by Meilhac and Harvey. Severance P T A Meeting with Camp Fire program

Severance P T A met at Severance school on Friday night with song selections including America the Beautiful Keep the Home Fires Burning and Columbia Gem of the Ocean. Gertrude Lee district Camp Fire leader from Greeley spoke and displayed Camp Fire articles. Mrs Clyde Cummings reported PTA work while Jake Delte George Lindblad demonstrated miniature hog feeders. Minutes were read and approved. A banner was awarded to a room for most parents of fifth and sixth graders present. Refreshments were provided by the committee. Camp Fire girls earned 2.00 from candy sales.

Seventeeners Club to Present Play at Johnstown Carnival

The Seventeeners Club at Johnstown plans a one act mime comedy A Girl To Order for the school carnival in November. College High Assemblies Arranged by Students

College High students arrange weekly programs through a committee led by Carl Mossberg. Recent events included Edison Jubilee lecture by Charles F. Velentine of Teachers College and a jazz program with performers Jackie Kendal and Bill Hutchinson. November features a Zoology lecture by Mrs J D B A Cockerell of the University of Colorado on material from recent expeditions to northern Europe.

Education Group Formed at Gilcrest Four Schools

A community education association named South Central Weld was organized in Gilcrest on Monday. Four schools Gilcrest Evana Dig Hand and Beebe Draw will participate. Officers elected include Ray H Brannaman chairman and Geneva E Kiernes secretary treasurer. Members listed span Gilcrest Big Bend Evans Ivana Beebe Draw and more. Apples and cider followed the business session social hour.

Orchestra to Play at Gilcrest Carnival

Campaign To Sell The Spud Opens At Local High

The Spud yearbook campaign at Greeley High begins this week with a goal to sell 500 copies. Purchasers can pay one dollar down this week and the balance by December 1. The event featured speeches from Margaret Easterday and Ernest Kayes to boost support, with cartoons previewing school activities shown during the assembly. Attendance averages at Central platoon system show high rates in the first six weeks, led by GA group at 98.7. A P T A dinner and Hallowe en event were planned for members and guests at Mrs. Watson's home.

Freshmen Plan Evening of Music and Dance

A school program lists an evening of dances and entertainment. The Freshmen perform a play titled Henry Steps Out with old time dancing music requested by the audience. Various grade groups present acts such as the Fortuna Wheel and Fifteen Wonders of the World.
