Denver Sailors Charged In Kitty Hawk Naval Brawls
More than two dozen black enlisted men aboard the Kitty Hawk face charges after fights on October 12 and 13. Bernie R. Fall, 22, from Denver, is among the accused. 21 men are charged with assault and rioting, four with only assault. The carrier’s crew of about 4,000 operates in theTonkin Gulf. several injuries were reported and some sailors were hospitalized.

Two Aurora men drown in Green River Wyoming accident
Two men from Aurora Colorado are believed drowned after their 12 foot aluminum boat overturned in high winds on Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Sheriff John Zakovich said the men Lloyd Sanders and Dean Blom disappeared about 200 yards from the east shore as divers were withheld Sunday. The search involved Sweetwater County sheriff's office rescue squad Game and Fish Department U.S. Forest Service and the Green River Scuba Diving Club with local authorities continuing the effort.
