Local and Baton factories each have capacity around 800 tons every 24 hours. About 90,000 tons of beets to Longmont and 270,000 tons total from Eston and Windsor. The Longmont shipment will cover roughly 99,000 tons. The plant operates 24 hours with 220 workers on night shifts and 5,000 tons in bins as season begins. Beet pulling conditions are favorable after rain, provided no freeze follows.

Mrs. Lucy Dresser widow of Fred S. Dresser died at her home 1013 Eleventh Street Sunday evening after a lingering heart illness. Born Lucy Fairchild in Stamford 1850 she came to Greeley in 1874 with her husband. Survived by her husband and daughter Mrs. Helen Dres of Whittier California. Funeral services to be conducted by Rev. M. R. Kerr at 2 30.
