Four Injured In Early-Morning Head-On Crash West Of Greeley
A Friday head on collision near the junction of US 34 and Colorado 257 west of Greeley sent four people to Wold County General Hospital by ambulance. Dale Pulver 42 Loveland and David Harnway 25 Pat Collins were the drivers in the Pulver car and Hartman car respectively. Pulver had emergency surgery for severe internal injuries a dislocated hip and multiple lacerations. Hartman was in satisfactory condition with a broken rib. Two passengers in Pulver s car William Matlowan 34 Loveland and Fern Urick were also injured with head and facial injuries and broken bones. The accident occurred during mist at a construction site for a new overpass. Police report Pulver eastbound and Hartman westbound on the wrong side of the highway when the collision happened. Detours were in place due to road construction.
