A Lupton woman, 47, was badly injured Friday night on icy roads near Dengar and Brighton. She was taken to Colorado General with probable chest and pelvic injuries after a collision with an oncoming car. the other driver, Charles A. Tili of Colorado Springs, was uninjured. Buses and traffic moved slowly as crews managed the icy conditions and police blamed weather for the higher collision rate.
The annual Beet Growers meeting for the Mountainistites district convenes Monday at the county court house on the third floor.
