George Hally, a New England Chemical representative, recalls giving a hotel room to a peroxide adventuress who stole his meal ticket and wallet. He seeks the alleged woman Mrs. Thompson who took his ticket to the Home Dairy restaurant in Denver. Only a few cents remain in his purse.
A traveler recounts losing a pocketbook after sharing a hotel room with a woman who traveled from Salt Lake. He notes the pocketbook contained little: a Denver restaurant meal ticket, a few dollars, and a ticket to Greeley. He plans to involve the Denver police to pursue the suspect, believed to live near Sixteenth and Welton.
Ault residents staged a lively charivari for newlyweds Walter Burke of Grafton Nebraska and Latitia Archer Burke of Wray Colorado after the melodrama The Price of Crime in Ault. The couple married hours earlier in Greeley with Rev. J J Lace performing the ceremony.
The jury convicted James Burke of a statutory crime against 15 year old Gertrude Tulles after about five minutes deliberation. The verdict was announced around 1 o clock this morning.
The Burlington surveyors reached Ault on Nov 8 after camping in Olive Branch district north east of town. Fifteen men worked lines from Collins and Wyatt districts toward Ault then westward, then moved camp this morning. They previously mapped routes from Torrington Wyoming to Grover and on to Ault, with connections toward Greeley and Hudson.
Right of way agents announce the Burlington railroad has secured nearly full right of way for a 26 mile Hudson to Greeley branch. Reports from Fort Collins say a conflict grows between sheepmen and cattle owners as 7000 sheep are moved onto hills near Livermore. Cattlemen urge government to include the area in a grazing reserve, arguing overstocking and limited pasture. Prolonged tensions loom for North Park where sheep incursions extend beyond local lines.
Ault Nov 18 In thawing pipes at Ken Wyatts windmill pump a plumber started a fire. The blaze spread beyond control but was quickly subdued with minimal damage. Water from the well serves several families and a substitution was arranged during the freeze. The plumber used shavings and rubbish to start the fire in the pump house.
Rev Father Haelterman of Santa Cruz New Mexico visits friends in Greeley staying with Professor Ernesti and wife. His parish serves Indians and Mexicans, with Mass at remote chapels many miles away. The Santa Cruz church is among the oldest in the United States dating to early seventeenth century. He has served them seventeen years after coming from Belgium where his family bred horses. He leaves for Santa Cruz tomorrow morning.
Emma Copeland may be in Greeley and a Roggen man E W Dye seeks a wife after finding her ad in a Denver newspaper nearly a year ago. Dye has never met Copeland but believes the match could work and invites other women to apply. Mr and Mrs Robert Moodie returned to Denver after visiting her parents.
Colorado Insurance Commissioner W L Clayton has been appointed by President John H Hartigan of the National Convention of Insurance Commissioners to represent the group on a five member committee. The panel will study taxation of insurance companies by states and the adoption of uniform laws nationwide. Clayton will attend several sessions, with expenses paid by the organization, and his acceptance was wired yesterday.
Police Magistrate A W Davis fines J W Wootten fifty dollars or twenty nine days in jail after evidence of boisterous behavior and overattentive conduct toward a 15 year old girl. Wootten appeals to the county court as attorneys plan to challenge the ruling.
Aust. Nov. 18. Dorothy Rebekah lodge No. 104 celebrated its fourth anniversary on Wednesday night with a chicken pie supper. The rooms were decorated in lodge colors pink and green.
LaSalle November 18 brick work on the new round house is about half complete. Roughly 100000 bricks remain to be laid before completion. Excavation for the ash pit is practically finished.

The Woodmen of the World held a Thursday social in honor of Horace Huron of Rock Island a Woodman organizer and entertainer. Huron presented a delightful program of banjo entertainment change readings and songs. Attendees included Woodmen and their ladies with light refreshments served.
