Contracts for Enterprises Awarded for Laramie River Tunnel
The board of the Greeley-Poudre irrigation district announced a contract for the two mile Laramie river tunnel through the Medicine Bow range. J A Mellwee, who directed the Cripple Creek deep drainage tunnel, secured the award. A Nunn lateral contract is expected within ten days as the project moves to lift main ditch waters seven miles south of Nunn into the lateral, with a finance company formed and construction to start at once.

Narrow Runaway Wagon Causes Smashed Buggy
Special to the Daily Tribune Gilcrest November 16. Mrs Edwin Davis and two children Ruth and Reece drove a covered wagon from Greeley to Gilcrest when their team ran away. The buggy was smashed but all escaped with no serious injuries. Mrs Davis and Ruth returned home by train. A previous runaway in Gilcrest last week involved Kahlors team with his son clinging to the seat. Kahlor was thrown out and his face scratched, but no bones were broken.
