He calls for conservation, reduced oil dependence, and self sufficiency, noting imports may be needed for years and urging citizens and industry to endure higher costs.
City Planning Commission recommends approval of a gravel removal operation north of Linn Grove Cemetery covering 232 acres near the Cache la Poudre River, with county input on reclamation plans and a wet pit method to limit dust and odor.
Dr. Donald Holley, chair of UNC Communications on sabbatical, spent a month touring Germany and Austria in September and a week in October at seminars led by Dr. George Kennedy, UNC classics professor, reviewing the UNC Library need for classical materials. Dr. Arthur K.R. Partridge, UNC Educational Administration chair, spoke at the National Organization on Legal Problems conference in San Francisco on November 8.
