Civil rights office sought for Greeley by commission
Colorado lawmakers pressed the Civil Rights Commission over state car use while backing a request for more staff and a Greeley office to handle rising caseloads. Women of Baptist churches plan Hillside gathering Monday
Women from Belbel Baptist First Spanish Baptist Millside and other Greeley churches meet at Hillside Baptist Church on 25th Street and Ali Avenue at 1 30 for a World Alliance prayer observance. Levi Casias named assistant director of the Greeley office of the Weld County Youth Service Bureau. He is described as highly qualified, with a West High School Denver 1965 diploma, UNC BA in vocational rehabilitation counseling, UNC graduate work, and a certificate in governance. He has two years with Colorado Migrant Council, roles at Aims College, and led Head Start centers in Northern Colorado. He helped start bilingual programs and Project Vive at UNC, plus work with Colorado Legal Services. The U S Department of Labor established June 18 1808.
